Pavlo Ponomariov – Master

Pavlo Ponomariov – Master. He died on June 6, 2023, while performing a combat mission.

Pavlo was a computer systems engineer. Perhaps, he was one of the few who worked by profession. He was a very talented IT professional and he had colleagues from many countries around the world. Since childhood, he had a clear civil position: he loved Ukraine with all his heart and regretted that he had not decided to go to war earlier. 
Pavlo put on his military uniform for the first time in March 2022, three days after he was mobilized. A couple of months later, he went to the combat zone. He joined Zaichyky CHRKESSa unit in the spring of this year. And during the first week of his stay with us in the combat zone, he came under fire, which was his last…

Pavlo was very intelligent, able to analyze people and events in seconds. He loved debate, but was not conflicted. He had leadership qualities – people were naturally drawn to him and respected him for his actions.

One of his favorite hobbies was cycling. When he and his wife Mariana moved from Kharkiv to Kyiv in 2021, he cycled more than 5,000 kilometers around Kyiv and the region during the cycling season! The guy repaired and assembled bicycles himself. In general, he loved sports, computer games, traveling, and his wife and cat Solo, whom he once took from the streets of his hometown.

On July 3, he would have turned 31, but he will always be 30….
He did not have time to see his child, who is due to be born soon and will become his continuation:
“There are no more people like him and there will never be. I just hope that I will see him in our child. This is what I live for” – Mariana.
